What is SkimSAFE?

SkimSAFE products are a new group of card holders called "electromagnetically opaque sleeves." They protect your card's encoded data from unauthorized reading, called "skimming."

SkimSAFE products are FIPS-201 approved for use by the US Government.

They are available in several form factors. All of them will protect an RFID card both physically and electronically.

In short, SkimSAFE products prevent contactless smart cards and RFID cards from pushing data to sources outside of your control.

Certain RFID cards are susceptible to "skimming" fraudsters because they transmit signals to any reader, anytime. In close proximity to you, a thief with a card reader could capture your card's data for duplication later. This can happen even through your purse or wallet.
